Advanced DevOps + Platform Engineering Combo

Course Duration: 20–22 Weeks (Flexible) | Mode: Offline/Online

Goal:  Upon completing this programme, students will be able to design, build, and manage advanced DevOps pipelines and cloud-native platform environments. They will gain hands-on expertise in CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and security, making them job-ready for roles like Platform Engineer or Senior DevOps Engineer.

  • GitHub Actions / GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Artifact management (Nexus, Artifactory)
  • Testing automation integration (unit, integration, and smoke tests)

MODULE 3: Containerization & Orchestration (Week 5–6)

  • Docker advanced usage (multi-stage builds, Docker Compose)
  • Container security best practices
  • Kubernetes architecture & concepts
  • Helm charts for application deployment
  • Namespaces, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress
  • Scaling & self-healing with Kubernetes

MODULE 4: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration Management (Week 7–8)

  • IaC concepts & benefits
  • Terraform advanced workflows (modules, remote state, workspaces)
  • CloudFormation & Pulumi overview
  • Ansible playbooks for configuration management
  • Managing secrets & environment-specific configurations

MODULE 5: Cloud Platforms & Platform Engineering (Week 9–10)

  • Cloud-native architecture principles
  • AWS, Azure, and GCP services for platform engineering
  • Platform engineering concepts: DevSecOps, developer platforms, self-service environments
  • Environment standardization & blueprinting
  • Multi-cloud vs hybrid cloud strategies

MODULE 6: Observability, Monitoring & Logging (Week 11–12)

  • Metrics, logging, tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • Alerting and incident management (PagerDuty, OpsGenie)
  • Application performance monitoring (APM)
  • Cloud-native monitoring & dashboards
  • Chaos engineering basics

MODULE 7: Security & Compliance in DevOps (Week 13)

  • Security scanning (SAST, DAST)
  • Secrets management (Vault, KMS, AWS Secrets Manager)
  • Compliance & governance (SOC2, GDPR, ISO)
  • Automated security testing in CI/CD

MODULE 8: Platform Engineering Projects (Week 14–16)

  • Building enterprise-grade developer platforms
  • Self-service CI/CD templates
  • Automated provisioning & environment setup
  • Internal developer portals for reusable infrastructure
